Site Engineer

We’re on an evolutionary journey where we’re changing our story. We are looking to hire an experienced Site Engineer to join our diverse team in our Company.

In this role, you will ensure our site activities are executed in accordance with the project requirements and applicable regulatory and engineering standards, ensure onsite quality assurance as well as be the resource person to serve as onsite link between project engineers and fabrication/construction contractors.

As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with all the technical requirements of assigned projects.
  • Providing oversight and onsite inspection of executed work. These include assurance that welding procedures are followed, NDT are correctly done and properly documented, the correct system of coatings are applied, materials quality control.
  • Pre-mobilizing inspection of contractor’s equipment to ensure that they are fit for purpose and have current certifications.
  • Managing the interface between the project engineers and contractors
  • Verifying the equipment operators have received the required training and their certificates are current.
  • Ensuring diligent implementation of inspection and test plans.
  • Generating daily field reports
  • Ensuring field activities are conducted in accordance with safe work practices.
  • Assuring that site procedures and logistics plans are developed and in place to achieve safe and efficient execution of executed projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of B.Sc. in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineer
  • 7+ years minimum experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experienced in executing projects in swamp locations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with welding procedures and coating requirements.
  • Must be capable of working independently with little supervision.
  • Must be knowledgeable in engineering standards and quality assurance requirements and latest advances in technology.
  • Ability to lead safety performance activities to achieve operational excellence.
  • Ability to coordinate all project interfaces as they relate to and influence project planning and execution.
  • Must be able to adapt to and overcome the challenges peculiar to working in the Niger Delta Oil and Gas fields.
