NOG Energy Week themed ‘Showcasing Opportunities, Driving Investment, and Meeting

Energy Demand’, was held in Abuja from June 30 to July 4, 2024.

 

This event convened energy stakeholders to engage in transformative dialogues to transform

Nigeria’s energy mix through deliberation and action. It also focused on the strategies that will

be employed by the Nigerian government and private sector leaders to navigate the emerging

business environment – helping to set the nation’s energy agenda for the next 12 months and

beyond.

 

Amongst the many insightful discussions, networking, and collaborations that happened during

this event, the Acting Managing Director and Gas Asset Manager of Neconde Energy Limited, Engr Chi Chi Emenike, moderated a session.

 

The conversation and highly impactful panel session titled “Delivering a Thriving Domestic Gas

Market” brought together industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss strategies for enhancing

Nigeria’s domestic Gas market. The dialogue focused on critical issues such as policy

frameworks, infrastructure development, investment opportunities, and the role of technology in

advancing the gas industry.

 

Engr Chi Chi Emenike tried to get her panellists to make the conversations slightly “no holds

barred” to create depths towards actionable insights and practical steps that can be taken to

ensure the sustainability and expansion of Nigeria’s domestic gas market.

 

The discussion not only highlighted current challenges but also showcased innovative solutions

and collaborative efforts necessary to drive growth in the sector.

 

Neconde Energy Limited a JV owner of OML42 is laden with rich Gas Assets and continues to

strive to commercialize these Resources as well as drive conversations plus collaborations to

support Sustainable Gas Development in Nigeria.
