Let There be Gas
For the country to meet the power requirement of Nigerians, government must court
investors with deep pockets.
Across Nigerian cities are tales of rolling black outs. A huge irony. Nigeria’s abundant gas potential has not rubbed off positively on the country’s power sector. The Niger Delta is a gas province with just little drops of oil. Unfortunately, much of that gas is flared. Getting gas to power plants would require huge financial commitments by investors.

For the country to meet the power requirement of Nigerians, government must court the relationship of investors with deep pockets. The investors must also be guaranteed good returns on their investments and a stable policy that would also guarantee an enabling operational environment for them.
